In his Financial Post commentary, William Watson argues forcefully that the government should not succumb to a golf industry group’s efforts to restore the tax deduction for a round of golf.   Citing the inequity of allowing some entertainment expenses but not others (hockey tickets are allowed but not a round of golf) the group wants a “level playing” field.  Watson is opposed to public subsidy for any form of business  entertainment and wants the deduction removed completely.  Click here to Read more
